Thérèse Goncalves, peint depuis 1990. D’abord avec le professeur Cécile Proslier, pendant cinq ans, puis elle intègre l’Ecole d’Art de Rueil. Elle a pour l’accompagner dans ses recherches, le professeur Sylvie Benazet, en peinture, puis Olivier Madelin pour le dessin et la peinture .  et elle participe toujours activement aux ateliers rattaches à   ceux-ci.

Thérèse Goncalves travaille l’ombre et la lumière et attache une grande importance à la composition d’un tableau. Elle tente de faire fonctionner les vides et les pleins entre eux et essaye de ne pas oublier un principe longuement répété par Mr Madelin : «  Ne pas être trop bavard en peinture »…. Laisser le spectateur découvrir progressivement ce que le tableau exprime .

Ce qu’elle aime aussi : discerner et retranscrire la beauté des choses dans leur radicale banalité
Elle compare sa démarche à un travail de l’écrit, comme un jeu d’équilibre entre l’essentiel et le superflu, d’un seul jet d’abord puis une recherche d’ épuration et d’affinement

English Therese GONÇALVES painted since 1990. First with Professor Cecile PROSLIER, for five years, then she joined the School of Art RUEIL MALMAISON. She has to accompany her in his research, Professor Sylvie BENAZET, in painting, and Olivier MADELIN for drawing and painting, and she is still actively involved in workshops related to them.

Therese GONÇALVES works with shadow and light and attaches great importance to the composition of a painting. She tries to make the empty spaces and the full ones work between them and try not to forget a principle long repeated by Mr. MADELIN: "Do not be too talkative in painting».... Let the viewer gradually discover what the painting expresses.
What she likes too: discerning and transcribing the beauty of things in their radical banality

She compares her approach to a work of the written word, like a game of balance between the essential and the superfluous, of a single jet first then a search for purification and filtering are coming structuring the painting as the elaboration of a book.
